Dear students,

For tomorrow's lesson, please bring the Pudney text as well as well as Grammar Scan and the Hillan dispensa. If you have space in your bags, please also bring the Goddard, and Vince texts.

In preparation for the lesson, please translate all four paragraphs on pg. 5 of the first half of the Hillan dispensa.

Also please look through your Grammar Scan texts and check that you have done all exercises on pp. 67-77.  If you have not done all of the exercises on those pages, please do them.

Reminder – We will not have lesson tomorrow, Tuesday April 5, because of the sessione straordinaria exam.

Our lessons will resume this coming Thursday, April 7.

The homework to complete is as follows:

Goddard
- Read pp. 16-30; pay careful attention to all of the advertisements;
- complete the activity on p. 25;
- read the commentary of the activity on p. 105-106.

Pudney
- Complete the translation of both paragraphs on p. 10.

Our next lesson is Thursday, March 31 at the regular time.

In our last lesson on Thursday, March 24, we studied the next advertisement (after the Clorox ad) on p. 11 in the Hillan Dispensa ("Work led me up the garden path... thanks to my Henley, I haven't looked back"), and we did the accompanying worksheet on p. 12 in the dispensa.

In addition, we read pages 12-15 in the Angela Goddard text, The Language of Advertising, and compared the two advertisements on those pages. Goddard's textbook is now available at the photocopy center in Villa Mirafiori.

The homework for our next lesson on Thursday, March 31, is to read chapter twelve in the Sara Thorne textbook (pp. 293-324) and do the worksheet #3 ("Sara Thorne – The Language of Advertising") on p. 6 in the Hillan dispensa.
