Much has been said// There has been much talk about the
flow/influx of illegal immigrants from Albania but a solution still has not
been found // but the authorities/the government still has not found a
solution. Some people // There are those who remember that the French destroyed
// used force to destroy the Green Peace ship in the Pacific [Ocean]. These
people want Italy to do the same to/against the inflatable/rubber boats coming
from Albania. One official said that from now on the Italians should follow/chase
the boats after they unload/drop off the [illegal] immigrants and then
confiscate them.
One politician reportedly assured // It seems that one
political assured that the government would do everything possible //
everything in the government’s power to stop/prevent/curb this traffic but that
any action must be organized // has to/ would have to be organized together
with // in collaboration with the Albanian authorities // the Albanians. Until
they decide to collaborate/cooperate , nothing can be done.

who arrive in Italy illegally are looking for jobs/work. They would never have

risking their lives and not realizing the danger(s) they face. Who organized
their trip/journey// Who organized the trip for them? Who should be blamed?
A port/maritime official [apparently] said/confirmed that
the authorities who are/were supposed to patrol/police the territorial waters
have found themselves in difficulty/ in a difficult situation in recent days.
It seems that some criminals aboard/on inflatable rafts have protected/shielded
themselves with children // hidden behind children [in order] to avoid
capture.

There is much talk/ Many people talk about the job
crisis, especially/also as regards the arrival of so many foreigners/ people
from abroad/from other countries. They are accused of stealing/taking jobs from
Italians, of working for low wages/pay/salaries/little money, but some experts
reportedly said that the situation would change when the new jobs law
is/was/had been introduced.
Many young people admit they are not/would not be
willing/ready to work as hard as [the] immigrants and that they don’t want
their jobs/their work to take them far away from home/from their homes. What
can be done to find a proper/an appropriate/ the right balance? This has been a
major problem in recent years, but the authorities claim/say they can resolve it //
are/will be able to resolve it.
