Dear students,
Starting next week on Tuesday, January 28, there will be language tandems with the American students at the University of California in Rome. All meetings will be held at the University of California study center in Piazza dell'orologio, 7.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to practice your English and to help the American students to improve their Italian language skills. I strongly encourage you all to go to as many of of these meetings as you can!
In the novel, Kim Powers starts with some basic facts and incidents in the lives of the two great writers and constructs a fictional, fantastical tale of what might have transpired between them during Capote’s last days. Unfortunately, what might have been a lovely and haunting story collapses under the double-team pressure of mawkishness and bad writing.
