ROOM CHANGE: Please note that for the rest of our course, our Thursday lessons will be held in aula 109. The Monday lessons will remain in aula 202.
What follows is the homework to complete by (before) Monday, October 14.
- Cutting Edge Workbook, pp. 4-8 ALL
- Pudney book, pp. 1-5, carefully study all of the notes 1-12;
p. 87 Carefully re-read the “Simple Rules to Follow When Translating, which we
read in class this past Thursday. Make sure you have understood these 5 rules
and pay close attention to the examples Pudney gives.
- Pudney, pp. 98-99, translate all remaining sentences 1-21
that you have not yet translated (see previous post for the sentences we have already discussed in lessons 1-4). As you translate these sentences, for each one,
FIRST make your best effort to translate the sentence WITHOUT REFERRING TO THE
REFERENCE NOTES given by Pudney (this is your first draft). SECOND, refer to
the specific notes related to each sentence, and then edit your first draft to
arrive at the second draft.
